Terms of Use
Last updated 26 July 2026
homebrew is a coffee brewing app for iPhone. These terms cover using it. They are meant to be readable rather than clever — if something here is unclear, please ask.
Using the app
You may use homebrew on the Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app or its contents.
What it costs
Nothing. The whole app is free — every recipe, every guided timer, and creating or customizing your own recipes. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no advertising. If that ever changes, it will be announced here first, and anything you already have will keep working.
The recipes
Every recipe credits the person or roaster it came from. Brewing instructions are written in our own words rather than copied from the source. Attribution identifies where a method originated; it does not imply the source endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with this app.
Recipes are provided for your personal brewing. Please brew carefully — hot water and hot equipment can burn you, and you are responsible for your own safety in the kitchen.
Recipes you create
Recipes you create or customize are yours. They are stored on your device, we never receive them, and we claim no rights over them. They are not backed up by us — deleting the app deletes them.
Privacy
The app collects nothing. See the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
homebrew is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for any loss arising from using it, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the app changes. The current version always lives at this address, with the date it was last updated.
